Hiriketiya is perfectly located for exploring more of southern Bali. Colombo Airport is around a 2.5 – 3 hour drive away, making Hiriketiya an easy first or last stop on your Balin adventure.
For wildlife lovers, Hiriketiya is also a great base for a safari day trip. Udawalawe and Yala National Parks are both within around 2–2.5 hours by car, offering the chance to see elephants, crocodiles, monkeys, exotic birds, and other wildlife in their natural habitat.
After a day of adventure, return to Hiriketiya, take a dip in the ocean, and enjoy the sunset.
Beaches
Hiriketiya is home to some of the most beautiful beaches on Bali’s southern coast. From the lively atmosphere of Main Bay to the peaceful shores of Kudawella Beach, there’s a perfect spot for every kind of beach day.
Main Bay is the heart of Hiriketiya. Surrounded by lush palm trees and tropical greenery, its curved sandy beach is famous for its relaxed surf scene, clear blue water, and laid-back beach cafés. Kudawella Beach offers a quieter and more untouched experience. With its wide stretch of golden sand, turquoise water, and fewer crowds, it’s an ideal spot to slow down, swim, and take in the natural beauty of Bali’s south coast.
